Community Foundation Policies

The Community Foundation of Northern Colorado meets National Standards for operational quality, donor service and accountability in the community foundation sector.

To receive confirmation of National Standards compliance, the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado submitted its organizational and financial policies and procedures to a rigorous peer review. To meet all 43 standards, the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado was required to document its policies in donor services, investment management, grantmaking and administration.

Because the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado is committed to financial security, transparency and accountability, CFNC policies are posted below for review by current and potential donors. 

The National Standards Seal by the Community Foundation's name indicates official confirmation from the Council on Foundations that the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado has met the most rigorous standards in philanthropy. The Council on Foundations is a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit membership association of more than 2,000 grantmaking foundations and corporations, with assets totaling more than $280 billion.
