Fort Collins Forever

Fort Collins Forever was established in 1998 by a group of dedicated community members wishing to contribute to the future of youth in Fort Collins.

The fund surpassed its endowment goal of $200,000 and is now valued at more than $355,000. In the fall of 2006, the grantmaking committee distributed $29,000 in grants to nonprofits such as ChildSafe, the Larimer County Child Advocacy Center, and the Healthier Communities Coalition.

On April 8, 2006 more than 80 people gathered at the Bas Bleu Theatre to spotlight Fort Collins Forever. The group celebrated its recent accomplishments, heard an exciting update from one of its 2005 grant recipients, and introduced newcomers to longtime members. Attendees enjoyed fabulous appetizers by Food for Thought Catering, live music by Piatro, a hosted bar, and lively conversation. Program ENERGY was the featured grant recipient; this cooperative program between CSU and Fort Collins' schools promotes healthy lifestyle choices for children. The project presentation and children’s testimonials led to an extremely enthusiastic response from Fort Collins Forever members and guests.

"Becky and I joined Fort Collins Forever because we believe in the power of community: community coming together to leverage giving dollars and creating community solutions for community issues. The impact of our giving is magnified by pooling our resources with friends, family and other caring community members, and we encourage anyone with a vision for a greater Fort Collins to join us in a fun, informed, meaningful way to give."

Together, we can make a difference. Fort Collins Forever gives members the opportunity to join with others and make a real and positive impact on meeting needs in our community.

We are part of Fort Collins Forever because we would like to help members of the community who need help in some way. The giving group allows one to turn a small contribution into greater impact by creating synergy with the gifts of others.
