Giving groups are composed of community-minded people who pool their charitable dollars in a common fund. The Community Foundation of Northern Colorado is home to four community-based giving groups that provide grant funding to Larimer County nonprofit organizations.
Members of these giving groups enhance their understanding of philanthropy and their appreciation for the valuable work of local nonprofits. They review grant requests submitted each fall, and award grants to nonprofit organizations from their endowment funds. Members also attend social gatherings.
Members are welcome to make their annual donation, observe its impact, and attend annual celebrations without further involvement. However, sharing your time and talents on subcommittees that provide leadership to these groups can make your membership even more rewarding.
Participation in Fort Collins Forever requires a minimum annual donation of $500. Estes Legacy Leaders, Loveland Generations, and Berthoud Bequest allow participation at a variety of giving levels. Because the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado is a tax-exempt public charity, donations to our giving groups are tax-deductible.

In April 2006, Loveland Generations hosted a social gathering at the Loveland Museum and Gallery.
