The Community Foundation’s Berthoud Local Advisory Board established the Berthoud Bequest Fund in 2004 to engage community members in local philanthropy.
Thanks to members’ generosity and enthusiasm, the fund is valued at more than $45,000. In fall 2006, $3,000 in grants were distributed to worthwhile nonprofit organizations throughout the Berthoud community.
The group hosted its first social gathering at the home of Jane Vielehr.
